Job Summary:

The home health aide is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient's needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Caring for the elderly, disabled client in their own home as if he/she were a close friend or a member of your own family, providing compassionate emotional and social support and companionship.
  2. Assisting client with daily needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing and meal preparation.
  3. Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, including light housekeeping and laundry.
  4. Providing transportation or running errands, including keeping all receipts for purchases made on behalf of customer.
  5. Keep a daily client log on all services rendered for given day.
  6. Attend monthly employee development meetings. These meeting will include videos, audio trainings, and general training.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Self-motivated and compassionate caregiver
  2. At least 18 years of age
  3. Provide copy of CNA license
  4. Trained in first aid/CPR procedures
  5. Reliable transportation
  6. Current Driver’s License
  7. Pass BCI/FBI state required criminal background check

Skills Required:

  1. Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
  2. Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.

  2. Certify that throughout my association with EH I will comply with the terms of the Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies.
  3. Understand that violations of the Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies may lead to disciplinary action, including termination of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Frequent driving in occasional extreme weather conditions
  2. Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds
  3. Pushing, pulling up to 100 pounds
  4. Frequent squatting
  5. Frequent sitting, standing, stooping and walking
