Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Port Richey, Florida. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in phlebotomy, EKG procedures, and have a strong background in Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Preferable primary care experience is highly desirable. The role involves providing support to healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient patient care, and maintaining accurate medical records. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform phlebotomy and collect blood samples from patients.
- Conduct EKG procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and treatments.
- Record patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records.
- Provide compassionate and professional patient care.
Requirements:
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistantpreferred, with phlebotomy and EKG certifications a plus.
- 2 years of Medical Assisting Experience
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Previous experience in primary care is preferable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

* Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
* Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
* Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
