Job OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and experienced Automatic Power Press Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in set-up, tool and die maintenance, and stamping operations. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our company's growth and success while developing their skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate automatic power presses safely and efficiently to produce high-quality stamped parts
- Perform machine set-up, including tool and die installation, adjustment, and alignment
- Monitor press operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
- Conduct regular inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Perform preventive maintenance on presses, tools, and dies to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues with presses and tooling
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Accurately complete production reports and maintain detailed records of press operations
- Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices with colleagues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality control procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automatic Power Press Operator
- Proficiency in set-up, tool and die maintenance, and stamping operations
- Strong understanding of press operations, tooling, and metal forming processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Experience with various types of stamping presses (e.g., mechanical, hydraulic, servo)
- Knowledge of quality control techniques and inspection methods
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
