Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team in a part-time capacity. No certification is required, but a passion for patient care and a willingness to learn is essential. As our practice still utilizes paper charts, you will play a key role in keeping patient records organized and accurate. This is a non-smoking facility, and we maintain a professional, health-conscious environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care (taking vitals, prepping for exams, etc.)
- Maintain and organize paper medical charts
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Take and relay phone messages
- Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and faxing
- Uphold a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with paper charts (no EMR experience needed)
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a smoke-free environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional

* Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
* Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
* Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
* Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
* Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
* Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
