POSITION –Spot Welder

JOB LOCATION –Ixonia, WI

STARTING DATE –Start as soon as possible!

EMPLOYMENT TERM –Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE –Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:00pm)

STARTING PAY –$22

Position Summary

TheSpot Weld Operatoris responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring spot welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications. This role ensures weld quality, production efficiency, and adherence to safety standards, supporting K&S Manufacturing’s reputation for precision and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation:Set up and operate spot welding machines to join sheet metal components.
• Quality Control:Inspect welds for strength, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
• Safety & Maintenance:Follow all safety protocols, perform routine equipment checks, and report maintenance needs.
• Production Efficiency:Monitor welding processes to minimize downtime and material waste.
• Documentation:Maintain accurate production records, including part counts and inspection results.
• Collaboration:Work closely with press operators, assemblers, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing preferred.
• Prior experience in spot welding or metal fabrication a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of basic measurement tools (calipers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
