We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Drug and Alcohol Counselor to support our patients on their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for patients
- Assess patient needs and create personalized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing emotional support, education, and resources for patients and their families
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to ensure holistic, effective care
- Document patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with clinic policies and regulations
- Stay updated on best practices in addiction treatment and maintain professional certifications
- Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field is required
- Certified as an addiction counselor (CAAC, CADC, CAADC) by the Pennsylvania Certification Board is preferred
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in substance abuse counseling, ideally in an Opioid Treatment Program or similar setting
- Strong understanding of addiction, Opioid Treatment Program protocols, and related therapeutic approaches
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work early morning hours
