Warehouse Associate

About Us:

Swiss Cellars is an independently owned importer and distributor of beverages serving primarily the Wisconsin market. Our customers are retailers, restaurants and bars. We are seeking a new part-time team member to join our family and maintain our standards of service and dedication.

General summary:

IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY

Load and unload trucks

Receive/organize inventory

Process and pick orders

Check orders and load them on the delivery vehicles

Warehouse and light vehicle maintenance

Primarily evening hours (usually Tue-Thu) generally starting at 8pm, earlier during training. Hours vary based on workload, usually 2-5 hours per shift

Daytime availability Wed-Fri as backup delivery driver/merchandiser preferred

Schedule changes on Holiday weeks.

Primary responsibility:

Accurately receive inventory, pick orders and load orders.

Other responsibilities:

Loading/unloading trucks/vans

Receiving and carefully/accurately checking products against purchase orders

Sending reports to, and receiving orders from office, using a Windows-based computer

Processing and sorting orders by delivery route

Accurately picking orders against invoices and staging orders per delivery route

Creating delivery manifest using a routing software

Checking picked orders for accuracy

Loading orders onto delivery vehicles according to delivery manifest

Reporting to management with regular oral and written reports

Performing various tasks related to company operations such as spot inventory counts, cleaning, light vehicle maintenance, etc

Backup delivery driver (daytime hours Wed-Fri)

Qualifications:

Highly motivated, well organized, focused, detail-oriented, accurate with record keeping

Ability to work independently

Strong reading and writing skills

Able to understand, memorize and follow procedures

Warehouse experience + business delivery experience preferred

Good with numbers

Available to work evenings, Monday through Thursday

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Maintaining a valid driver's license and a safe driving record

Reliable vehicle (to get to work), email/phone access from home

Must be able to lift at least 35lbs many times daily

Additional information:

Hourly wage, employee status, paid time off. No additional benefits

Reporting:

Primary reporting directly to the owner of the company

Secondary reporting to the office manager
