TITLE: IT Systems & Technology Specialist
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
Job Summary:
We are looking for a versatile and hands-on IT Systems & Technology Specialist to join our team. This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise across networking, security systems, hardware/software support, and large-scale technical deployments. The ideal candidate is a flexible, reliable problem-solver who can work under pressure, think creatively, and deliver innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Networking & Infrastructure
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (switches, cabling, patch panels).- Create and troubleshoot VLANs
- Understand and apply IP networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Rebuild and maintain MDF and IDF network rooms
- Work with geo and fiber optic networks.
Security & Access Systems:
- Install, manage, and troubleshoot key fob access systems, alarm systems, and surveillance camera systems
- Ensure reliability and security across all deployed systems.
Systems & End-User Support:
- Provide support for both Windows and macOS environments
- Administer Microsoft 365 including user account management, SharePoint site creation, email configuration/security, and E3 license management
- Apply cybersecurity best practices across systems.
Specialized Technical Projects:
- Install, design, and troubleshoot professional PA systems
- Manage Zoom VOIP phone systems
- Support and troubleshoot POS systems, hardware, and credit card terminals.
- Use API integrations to connect and streamline business systems.-
- Build, interpret, and manage BI dashboards.
Project Management & Deployment:
- Lead and support IT, networking, and security system deployments
- Meet project deadlines under pressure and within short timeframes.
- Travel between store locations as needed to support technical builds.
Hands-On & Field Work:
- Operate a scissor lift and safely perform physical installations
- Provide creative, hands-on technical solutions tailored to business needs
- Maintain a good driving record while traveling between sites.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with networking (switches, VLANs, IP protocols)
- Strong knowledge of both Windows and macOS
- Skilled in Microsoft 365 administration and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience with PA systems, POS devices, credit card terminals, and Zoom VOIP phones
- Hands-on experience with key fob, alarm, and surveillance systems
- Familiar with BI dashboards and API integrations
- Knowledge of fiber optic networks and IDF/MDF rebuilds
- Ticketing system experience
- Ability to manage projects under pressure and deliver results quickly
- Flexible to work long shifts, weekends, or after-hours when required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.
