Job Description
HealthPlus Staffing is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist to join a collaborative and well-supported neonatal program. This role focuses on providing high-quality care for premature and medically complex newborns within a Level II NICU, with future expansion planned to higher-acuity maternal and neonatal services.
Position Details
• Coverage of 4 Level II NICU beds and 10 intermediate care beds
• Diagnosis and management of premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates
• Care for conditions including respiratory disorders, infections, and congenital anomalies
• Lead daily NICU rounds, including ventilator management, nutrition adjustments, lab review, and family communication
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team
• 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
• 24-hour call coverage during scheduled rotation (home call permitted)
Program & Support
• Approximately 2,000 deliveries annually
• Women’s and Children’s Hospital currently 85,000 sq. ft., expanding to over 100,000 sq. ft.
• Level II Labor & Delivery and Special Care Nursery
• Planned expansion to Level III maternal and neonatal care
• Full ancillary and administrative support
Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
• Eligible for or active Texas medical license
• Visa sponsorship available
• New 2025 graduates and upcoming 2026 graduates welcome
