Quality Technician

Bowden Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Quality Technician to support in-process and final inspection of CNC-machined parts. This role plays a key part in ensuring our products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across the shop.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of CNC-machined parts to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Work closely with machine operators and engineers to identify and resolve quality issues in real time
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications, including GD&T requirements
  • Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
  • Document inspection results and prepare reports for the Quality Manager
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of quality systems through clear communication
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality processes and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety requirements

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional quality or inspection training preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to stay focused and accurate under pressure
