Mechanical Assembly / Crate BuilderOverview Summary
Summit Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Assembly / Crate Builder to support production and shipping operations in a hands-on manufacturing environment. In this role, you will build wooden shipping crates, perform mechanical assembly, and ensure products are securely prepared for transport using hand and power tools.

Shift Options:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
- Build wooden crates for shipping equipment and products
- Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials using a tape measure and tools
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, or work instructions accurately
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and durability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Experience using hand and power tools required
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic assembly processes
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or construction environments preferred
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings
- Background in woodworking, crating, or mechanical assembly
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing setting
- Hands-on manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Standing, walking, and using tools throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to wood materials, tools, and production equipment
- Required PPE may include steel-toed shoes and safety gear as assigned
- Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term placement based on performance
