Overview
Avalon Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Urologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in urology and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Urologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system, while also engaging in research and contributing to the advancement of urological practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with urological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including but not limited to minimally invasive techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including primary care providers and specialists in respiratory therapy, cardiac catheterization, and reproductive endocrinology.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving urological practices and patient outcomes.
- Engage with senior care programs to provide specialized care plans for elderly patients.
- Oversee home care services as needed, ensuring continuity of care for patients post-treatment.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Urology is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of urological diseases and treatments, including DME (Durable Medical Equipment) management.
- Experience in primary care settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in urology research and practices.
