Opportunity Highlights
- Provide comprehensive surgical care across multiple settings: inpatient, outpatient, and emergency.

- Perform a variety of procedures, including general surgical cases, chest wall/pleural procedures, vascular surgery, and GI endoscopy.

Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
As a valued member of the surgical team, you will enjoy a hospital-based setting with an office-clinic component. The facility boasts three operating rooms and a procedure room, ensuring adequate resources for conducting 1-3 surgical cases per day. The trauma center is designated as Level 3, providing a structured and organized environment for trauma care. The team comprises two general surgeons, with the addition of a new clinician, supported by a full complement of CRNA, scrub techs, and circulating nurses.
Schedule and Assignment Details
This locum role requires full-time availability with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The precise start and end dates are yet to be determined, offering flexibility in planning. The credentialing process takes between 60 to 120 days, ensuring a thorough integration into the practice. Weekend requirements are to be determined, allowing for potential adjustments based on your availability and preferences.

The hospital's documentation system utilizes Cerner EMR, streamlining patient care and record-keeping. Qualifications
- MD or DO Degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
- Completion of a General Surgery Residency Program.
- Active Vermont Medical License, with IMLC eligibility accepted.
- Proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures, with a clean malpractice history.
- DEA registration and CPR certification for Healthcare Providers required before start.
