American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability and at least 2 years of L&D experience.
Details- Work in a robust Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
- Scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, plus four 12-hour call shifts per 6-week period
- Floating to other like units required as needed
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
- Current NRP certification (AHA only) required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
- Provide age-appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
- Precept and mentor novice employees as part of contributing to overall department performance
- Participates in hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practice development
- Fosters a care environment that demonstrates compassion and respect for patients, families, and visitors
