Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, as well as new staff orientation. This position is committed to achieving superior quality outcomes through vital patient and employee safety measures.

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to formulate individualized care plans.
\n
• Identify patient and family teaching needs based on nursing assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
\n
• Ensure timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and responses in accordance with policy.
\n
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
\n
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
\n
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to relevant care providers for continuity of care.
\n
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, promoting effective decision-making and delegation.
\n
• Foster a safe environment by adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures.
\n
• Engage in team-building activities to enhance unit functionality and morale.
\n
• Manage service needs related to supplies, equipment, and training to fulfill assigned duties effectively.
\n
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested following the orientation period.
\n
• Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
\n

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
\n
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
\n
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
\n
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
\n

Schedule\n

This position requires a night shift, working three 12-hour shifts.

Assignment Duration\n

This is a 13-week contract position.
