American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) night shift position in Albany, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment.

- Acute Care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds \n
- Night shift schedule, 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts \n
- Patient ratio of 1:5, with potential for 1:6 \n
- CNA support available, generally at a 1:10 ratio \n
- Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a separate unit \n
- EMR system is MEDITECH; experience preferred but not required \n
- Every other weekend requirement \n
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis \n
- Floating required to other acute care units, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds \n
- \n
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required \n
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications, both from the American Heart Association (AHA) \n
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care specialty experience \n
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required \n
- A copy of your Driver's License is required for consideration \n
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on address on Driver's License) to be eligible \n

- Orientation consists of 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation \n
- Scrub color requirement: Caribbean Blue \n
- Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement \n
- Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment \n
- Albany, GA is a city of approximately 80,000 residents, located about 175 miles from Atlanta and roughly 88 miles from Tallahassee, FL \n
