Position Summary 

\n

The Manager, Pharmacy Operations supports the Director of Pharmacy in leading the operational effectiveness of the Pharmacy Department. This role plays a critical leadership function in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant pharmaceutical care while driving continuous improvement across pharmacy operations. The Manager serves as a trusted operational leader and assumes responsibility for daily pharmacy operations in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy. 

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy leader who enjoys hands‑on leadership, process optimization, and collaboration in a complex acute care environment. 

\n

Key Responsibilities 

\n

·         Support the Director of Pharmacy in the overall direction and operational management of the Pharmacy Department 

\n

·         Supervise daily pharmacy operations in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards 

\n

·         Lead, coach, and support pharmacy staff under the purview of the Director of Pharmacy 

\n

·         Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical and operational teams to support high-quality pharmaceutical care 

\n

·         Identify, develop, and implement operational, workflow, and process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and service excellence 

\n

·         Assume responsibility for pharmacy operations in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, making decisions aligned with organizational policies and operational goals 

\n

·         Performs duties as of a staff pharmacist as needed  

\n

 

\n

Minimum Qualifications 

\n

·         Education: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD 

\n

·         Experience:  

\n

o    Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience 

\n

o    Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy management experience 

\n

·         Licensure: Active Arizona Pharmacist License 

\n

 

\n

Preferred Qualifications 

\n

·         Education: Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare Management 

\n

·         Experience: Pharmacy residency or fellowship training 

\n

·         Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and/or BCPS
