Opportunity Highlights
- Locum-to-permanent opportunity in a thriving practice setting.
- Monday to Friday schedule with daytime hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Participate in night call shifts, approximately 3-6 per month, with shifts from 5 PM to 7 AM.
- Engage with a diverse case mix of 70% oncology and 30% hematology.
- Manageable patient volume with an average of 22 patients per day and 2-3 new consults.
- Credentialing process with an estimated 90-120 day timeline, facilitating a smooth transition.
Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This opportunity is based within a well-supported practice, offering both outpatient and inpatient care. Physicians will predominantly work in a clinic environment, with 95% of duties in this setting and 5% in a hospital setting. You will have the chance to engage deeply with oncology and hematology patients, providing intrathecal chemotherapy and, when necessary, intracavitary chemotherapy.
The practice is dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient care, supported by the use of the EPIC electronic medical record system for efficient and comprehensive patient management. The team is comprised of experienced medical assistants and mid-level providers who assist with follow-ups and new hematology patients, ensuring you can focus on providing exceptional patient care.
Schedule and Assignment Details
The position offers a structured schedule with daytime hours from Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. The role includes 3-6 night call shifts per month, providing ample opportunity to engage in acute patient care while maintaining a predictable schedule. The need for this role is driven by an influx of patients and the impending retirement of a current provider, emphasizing the critical nature and stability of this assignment.

- BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary for this role.
- A recent self-query NPDB report is required at the time of application.
