Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
Location: - Kissimmee, FL


Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a Level II Trauma Center. This role is ideal for a physician with a strong background in trauma, emergency surgery, and critical care who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide surgical and non-surgical management of patients with traumatic injuries
  • Participate in emergency and trauma call rotations
  • Perform life-saving procedures in high-acuity situations
  • Collaborate with specialists in critical care, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, and other disciplines
  • Contribute to trauma quality improvement initiatives and registry activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring residents or medical students, if applicable

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery preferred
  • Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • ATLS certification (Instructor status preferred)
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship experience in trauma or acute care surgery
  • Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
  • Familiarity with trauma registries, ACS verification processes, and quality improvement programs

**Schedule**
  • Rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Shared trauma call coverage
