American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 17-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Albany, GA, with Siemens scanner experience required.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care hospital setting with a 4-scanner MRI department, including a mobile unit \n
- High-volume department averaging 30 scans per day due to long protocols \n
- Inpatient volume of 10–14 patients per day and 4–8 outpatients per day on weekends \n
- Studies include musculoskeletal imaging, basic neuro, abdominal/pelvic imaging, radiation oncology, and breast imaging \n
- Patient population includes pacer and anesthesia patients, as well as ICU and NICU patients \n
- MEDITECH EMR; McKesson or Change Healthcare PACS \n
- Siemens scanners in use; Philips scanner acquisition in progress \n
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday \n
- No call or on-call requirement, though voluntary coverage may be available \n
- No floating to other departments required \n

- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required \n
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) and ARRT (MR) certification required \n
- Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required; Philips experience preferred \n
- Experience with Level II trauma or higher is a strong plus, as the facility operates at a Level I-like volume \n
- Must be able to perform IV starts \n
- A valid Driver's License is required for consideration \n
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (measured from the address on their Driver's License) to be eligible for placement \n
- Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement \n

- First-time travelers will be considered for this position \n
- Travel experience is preferred but not required \n
- Radiologists are in-house during daytime hours; the majority of MRI reads are performed remotely \n
- A full-time supervisor is on staff; a senior tech will be scheduled when a lead tech is not available \n
- Department-specific orientation is 1–2 weeks \n
- Black scrubs required with a black or gray jacket (no fleece); a black or gray undershirt may be worn underneath — scrubs are not provided \n
- Holiday coverage is required on a rotational basis \n
- Any time-off requests must be included at the time of initial assignment confirmation \n
