Position Overview

Join a mission-driven community health center as an Associate Medical Director (MD or DO), where you’ll have the unique opportunity to blend clinical care with meaningful leadership. Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Administrative:
  • Support provider recruitment, scheduling, and performance management
  • Mentor and supervise clinical staff while addressing any provider-related issues
  • Monitor clinical quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction
  • Assist with staffing plans, on-call schedules, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams
Clinical:
  • Deliver comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
  • Provide consultation and support to advanced practice providers
  • Participate in shared after-hours coverage as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support integrated care planning and quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor trainees and contribute to community health efforts
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
  • Active license to practice medicine in the State of Missouri, in good standing
  • Current DEA and BNDD licenses required
  • Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment (including UPIN) required
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified preferred (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrician)
  • Completion of a primary care residency program preferred
  • Experience or strong interest in working in an urban community health setting preferred
Working Hours

This is a full-time, on-site position based in St. Louis, Missouri. The schedule follows standard weekday clinic hours, with shared on-call responsibilities and occasional evening or weekend coverage as needed. The role involves collaboration across multiple clinic sites and close coordination with leadership and care teams.
