Physician Pediatrics - Competitive Salary

Call-Only Position (No Clinic Duties)

• Unique call-only role — no outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Flexible schedule with overnight and weekend call coverage
• Work within a supportive community medical center
• Be part of a team supporting 200+ annual deliveries
• ⚡ Quick response environment with a 30-minute callback requirement

• Primary coverage: Thursdays 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• 1 in 4 weekend call rotation
  • Begins Thursday 5:00 PM
  • May extend through Monday 8:00 AM
• Average overnight calls: 0–5 per shift

• Newborn nursery coverage
• Pediatric consults in the Emergency Department
• Inpatient pediatrics (under 18)
• Participation in high-risk deliveries & neonatal resuscitation
• Stabilization for NICU transfers
• Support for pediatric emergencies & codes

• Manage newborn conditions (jaundice, feeding issues, hypoglycemia)
• Handle postpartum & breastfeeding-related inquiries
• Respond to common pediatric concerns (fever, vomiting, rash, etc.)
• Average admissions: 1–2 per year per provider

• MD (Physician)
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Active Vermont License Required
• Comfortable with independent call coverage
• Strong newborn & emergency pediatrics experience
