Job Description
A pediatric healthcare system is seeking a Pediatric Neurologist for a combined inpatient and outpatient role in Lakeland, Florida. This position is based in a dedicated women and children’s pavilion and offers academic teaching and research opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care: Manage outpatient clinic hours plus inpatient call.
Specialized Support: Access to 24-hour EEG technician coverage for pediatric and neonatal continuous video EEG.
Teaching: Remote teaching opportunities through a Pediatric Residency and Hospitalist Fellowship program (UCF affiliation), plus local psychiatry resident teaching.
Research: Access to a clinical trials team and research data across an integrated four-site pediatric network.
Support Staff: Dedicated support from 2 APPs, 2 MAs, and an RN.
Clinical Setting: Outpatient clinic is located within the same building as the pediatric inpatient floors for efficient rounding.
Hospital Stats: 849-bed facility with a 47-bed pediatric medical/surgical unit, PICU, Level II NICU, and a 22-bed Pediatric Emergency Department.
Specialty Integration: On-site access to Pediatric Cardiology, Pulmonology, GI, Endocrinology, Nephrology, and more.
MD or DO degree.
Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Neurology.
Eligible for or currently holding a Florida medical license.
Incentive: $50,000 sign-on bonus for newly hired Neurologists.
Location: Lakeland, FL (Central Florida). Within one hour of Orlando and Tampa.
Financial Benefit: No state income tax.
