📍 Viroqua, WI | 🗓️ 13 Weeks | 🏥 Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Nights
\n Vernon Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift assignment in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This role is ideal for an RRT with strong critical care and NICU experience who is comfortable working independently while providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients across multiple age groups.
\n The Respiratory Therapist will perform diagnostic and pulmonary function testing, develop and implement respiratory treatment plans, monitor patient progress, provide respiratory therapies, and educate patients on treatments and equipment usage. Additional responsibilities include performing phlebotomies and IV starts/removals as needed.
\n Schedule:
\n Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
\n 12-hour shifts
\n Alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
\n Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
\n Holiday rotation
\n No call
\n Requirements:
\n Active Respiratory Therapist License
\n Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
\n Current BLS certification
\n Minimum 4 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
\n NICU experience required
\n Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
\n Responsibilities:
\n Perform respiratory assessments and diagnostic testing
\n Develop and manage respiratory treatment plans
\n Monitor patient response to therapies and adjust care as appropriate
\n Perform phlebotomy and IV starts/removals
\n Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment
\n Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
