Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Shift: Afternoon/Mids
Shift Time: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Shift Length: 12 Hours
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week

Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
  • \n
  • Monitor and assess newborns requiring specialized care and intervention.
  • \n
  • Manage infants requiring respiratory support, including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
  • \n
  • Provide care for infants experiencing:\n
      \n
    • Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) management for opioid-exposed newborns
    • \n
    • Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN)
    • \n
    • Blood sugar stabilization needs
    • \n
  • \n
  • Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient response.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • \n
  • Educate and support families regarding newborn care.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission).
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience.
  • \n
  • Level 1B NICU or higher experience required.
  • \n
  • Experience caring for:\n
      \n
    • ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) babies
    • \n
    • TTN (Transient Tachypnea of Newborn) patients
    • \n
    • Blood sugar stabilization cases
    • \n
    • Babies requiring respiratory support
    • \n
    • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
    • \n
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • \n
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • \n
