Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Shift: Afternoon/Mids
Shift Time: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Shift Length: 12 Hours
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week

Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in accordance with hospital policies and standards. \n
- Monitor and assess newborns requiring specialized care and intervention. \n
- Manage infants requiring respiratory support, including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC). \n
- Provide care for infants experiencing:\n
- \n
- Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) management for opioid-exposed newborns \n
- Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN) \n
- Blood sugar stabilization needs \n
\n - Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient response. \n
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. \n
- Educate and support families regarding newborn care. \n
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements. \n
Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission). \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience. \n
- Level 1B NICU or higher experience required. \n
- Experience caring for:\n
- \n
- ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) babies \n
- TTN (Transient Tachypnea of Newborn) patients \n
- Blood sugar stabilization cases \n
- Babies requiring respiratory support \n
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) \n
\n - Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. \n
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification. \n
