Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) night shift position requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and a prior travel assignment.

Details\n

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
\n
• 44-bed unit with a nursing staff of approximately 40
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:5, with potential for 1:6
\n
• CNA support available, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio
\n
• Telemetry is available on the unit, though monitoring is handled by a separate unit
\n
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
\n
• Every other weekend requirement
\n
• Holiday coverage required as needed
\n
• Floating required to all acute care, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds
\n
• MEDITECH EMR used; experience preferred but not required
\n
• 26-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active GA or Compact RN license required
\n
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required — both must be AHA-issued
\n
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
\n
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
\n
• Driver's license required for consideration
\n
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on address on Driver's License) to be eligible for this position
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Orientation is approximately 1 week, including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
\n
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
\n
• Candidates employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
\n
• Any time-off requests must be submitted and approved at the start of the assignment
\n
• A Driver's License copy is required for consideration
