  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n

\n\nRequired Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Active Illinois RN license (required at time of application)\n
  • Minimum 2 years recent PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry/Cardiac Telemetry experience\n
  • ACLS and BLS (AHA or Red Cross only); NIHSS preferred\n
  • Experience with Cerner electronic documentation\n
  • Strong ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, cardiac drips (including titration), and continuous telemetry monitoring\n
  • Experience caring for post-cardiac procedures, hemodialysis patients, and respiratory support modalities (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC)\n
  • Previous charge experience, teaching hospital, and Level I Trauma experience preferred\n
  • Willingness to float to similar units as needed\n
  • Must complete all compliance and onboarding requirements prior to start\n
\n\nResponsibilities\n

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, renal, and neurological conditions\n
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry; manage cardiac and vasoactive drips and respond rapidly to changes\n
  • Care for patients post-cardiac cath, angiogram, MI, cardiac surgery, and other cardiovascular procedures\n
  • Manage feeding tubes, surgical drains, central and peripheral lines, wound care and wound vacs\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams\n
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner and adhere to infection control and isolation precautions\n
  • Float to like units as needed to support hospital operations\n
