Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Optometrist to join a well-established private practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered eye care. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive and experienced team, provide a wide range of services including routine, pediatric, and contact lens care, and help grow lasting patient relationships in a practice that values both clinical excellence and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose ocular conditions

• Provide patient care by discussing treatment options and prescribing corrective lenses

• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

• Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient management

• Educate patients on eye health and preventive care while delivering excellent customer service

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution

• Valid state optometry license

• Strong patient care and communication skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

• Proficiency in HIPAA regulations and medical record management

• Experience with EMR and EHR systems

• Familiarity with ophthalmology and pediatric optometry practices

• Customer service and sales experience in an optical setting

• NY State Optometry license preferred
