American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Granbury, TX, requiring 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate C-sections.
Details- 8-bed Labor & Delivery unit operating within a Women's Services department using an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model of care
- Patient population includes high-risk labor, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn/couplet care patients
- Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients and 3:1 for couplet care
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, no on-call required
- Floating required within Women's Services
- EMR: GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN) for perinatal monitoring; Medhost for orders, charges, and medication scanning
- 13-week contract
- Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license valid in TX required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Ability to circulate C-sections required
- Proficiency in high-risk labor management, Pitocin titration, fetal monitoring interpretation, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum/couplet care
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Scope of practice covers the full LDRP continuum: labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Previous rural hospital experience and familiarity with the LDRP model are preferred
- All certifications must remain active and not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- RTO is capped at 6 days per 6-week period, and all RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Must be available to work one major holiday if the assignment overlaps with a holiday
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
- Navy blue or pink scrubs required
