American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Clyde, NC, requiring 2-3+ years of ED experience and at least 1 year of travel nursing experience.

- Work in a 17-bed Emergency Department at a 154-bed Joint Commission Accredited hospital located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville \n
- Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric cases \n
- Common diagnoses and treatments include chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric presentations \n
- Patient ratio is 1:4 \n
- 13-week contract with a night shift schedule (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) \n
- Scheduled every other weekend unless the opposing worker is a dedicated weekender \n
- No on-call or float requirements \n
- EMR: ED Paragon \n
- Scheduling is self-managed through the "When to Work" app \n
- \n
- Active NC or Compact RN license required \n
- AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale \n
- Minimum 2-3 years of Emergency Department experience required \n
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required \n
- Ability to efficiently and safely manage a team of patients across varying acuity levels \n
- Ability to recognize changes in patient status and respond appropriately \n
- Minimum education: ADN or higher \n
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration \n
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate \n

- Orientation is held on a bi-weekly cycle \n
- Navy blue scrubs required; HRMC t-shirts provided — hoodie sweatshirts are not permitted \n
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible \n
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment \n
- The facility is a Duke LifePoint hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, behavioral health, and 11 multi-specialty physician clinics, including a Chest Pain Center \n
- Located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with easy access to Asheville, Knoxville, and other regional destinations \n
