Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Full Time\n\n

Schedule\n

Full Time, 3x12 hour shifts - day or night shift (scheduled as needed by client) plus every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical skills, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient's episode.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Applies nursing knowledge and skills in the delivery of care.
\n
• Assesses patient and family needs and creates individualized plans of care.
\n
• Promotes patient safety, health, and rights, fostering a collaborative team environment.
\n
• Teaches patients and families about continuing care and self-management post-discharge.
\n
• Documents education provided and assesses retention of information.
\n
• Participates in quality improvement activities and is accountable for personal professional development.
\n
• Builds trusting relationships with patients and families while promoting a healing environment.
\n
• Demonstrates skilled intervention, including medication administration.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• New York State RN Licensure is required.
\n
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or RQI only) are required.
\n
• One (1) year experience serving in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse is required.
\n
