Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
Job Description\nThe Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, adhering to all hospital guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming individualized care plans. \n
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team. \n
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure direct patient care, prioritizing patient/family education. \n
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. \n
- Communicate changes in patient status to other care providers to maintain continuity of care. \n
- Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel. \n
- Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies. \n
- Contribute to a positive work environment through effective communication and team building. \n
- Assume charge responsibility as requested following the orientation period. \n
- Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study. \n

- BLS Certification required prior to first shift. \n
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific facilities may apply). \n
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired. \n
This position requires a night shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts.
