- On-Call: Required (approximately 1/week)\n
- Charting: Cerner (experience with Cerner preferred)\n
- Parking: Free with permit\n

- Minimum 3 years recent Operating Room RN experience (General OR and Trauma required)\n
- Level I trauma experience required — trauma OR nurse experience preferred\n
- Travel nursing experience required (previous travel OR RN assignments preferred)\n
- Active Illinois RN license (in hand or in application process)\n
- BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only)\n
- CNOR and CST certifications preferred (perioperative certifications highly valued)\n
- Must live at least 50 miles from facility (travel nurse eligibility)\n
- Required case experience includes: Bariatric (laparoscopic assisted), General Surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Whipple), Neurology (cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion), Orthopedic (arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, fracture reduction), Plastic Surgery (free flap - microvascular), Transplant (organ donation), Urology (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy), Trauma (amputations, GSW/knife wounds, MVA), Emergency management (code response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia)\n
- Equipment experience: electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables\n
- Professional skills: administration of blood products, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out), urinary bladder catheterization\n

- Provide perioperative nursing care for a broad scope of surgical cases across multiple service lines (all except cardiovascular)\n
- Respond to trauma and emergency situations as part of a Level I trauma team (trauma OR nurse responsibilities)\n
- Participate in on-call rotation and float within skill set as needed\n
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and universal protocols (time-out)\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response\n
- Utilize Cerner for accurate perioperative charting and documentation\n
- Handle and properly label specimens; maintain chain-of-custody as required\n
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, including radiation and fire safety practices\n
- Demonstrate proficiency in specialized equipment, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures\n

- Work in a Magnet-recognized hospital and Level I trauma center with 23 operating rooms\n
