American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and required proficiency on Philips or Siemens equipment for an acute care hospital MRI department in College Station, TX.

- Acute care hospital MRI department serving both inpatient and outpatient populations in clinic and hospital settings \n
- Single modality position — not expected to cover CT or X-Ray duties \n
- Department has 1–2 MRI scanners per location \n
- Common studies include MSK, neuro, and body scans \n
- Average of 10 scans per day \n
- Philips and Siemens MRI equipment used; experience on either is required \n
- 1.5T MRI equipment experience required \n
- IV placement and creatinine draws are part of the role \n
- EMR: MEDHOST and Meditech; PACS: Synapse \n
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday with a 7:30 AM start \n
- Rotational on-call required: one week per month (5:00 PM–6:00 AM M–F, and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday) \n
- Holiday coverage is on a rotational on-call basis \n
- May float between two campuses approximately 16 minutes apart, as needed \n
- 12-week contract \n

- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience \n
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required \n
- ARRT (MR) certification required \n
- Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) required — license required if applicable \n
- Active state license required; pending licenses will not be accepted \n
- Hands-on experience with Philips and/or Siemens MRI equipment is required \n
- Experience with 1.5T MRI equipment required \n
- Experience with implanted devices required \n
- Ability to perform IV starts and creatinine draws \n
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire \n
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration \n

- Performs MSK, neuro, and body MRI scans for inpatient and outpatient populations \n
- Radiologist is on-site at hospital locations \n
- Non-supervisory MRI Tech position; no RRAs used in the department \n
- May be asked to precept staff as needed \n
- Black scrubs required; scrubs are not provided \n
- Rad badge (dosimeter) is not required for this position \n
- 12-hour orientation period \n
- Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may result in termination \n
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered \n
