American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at an acute care hospital in Orangeburg, SC, requiring Epic proficiency and AHA certifications.

- Work setting is an acute care hospital (286 staffed beds) Emergency Department \n
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) \n
- Patient ratios are acuity-based \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Floating within scope to meet facility and department needs is required \n
- No on-call requirement \n
- EMR: Epic (experience required) \n
- Parking is free of charge \n

- Active SC RN license or multi-state/compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be cleared prior to start \n
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required \n
- Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS \n
- Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration \n
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration \n

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have emergency room experience \n
- Candidates who were previously permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler \n
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are given priority \n
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as approval is subject to facility needs \n
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment \n
- Royal blue scrubs are required \n
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November, with peak activity in August and September), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams \n
