Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; weekdays with every other weekend; float capability required

\n

Highlights:

\n

\n
• Support both low-risk and high-risk obstetrics in a regional tertiary care unit with 14 L&D beds, 6 triage beds, and 2 operating rooms
\n
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed based on departmental volume and staffing needs
\n
• Utilize Cerner EMR system (experience required), along with Surginet and Fetallink documentation
\n
• Collaborate with midwives and physicians to deliver exceptional care for patients ranging from minimal intervention births to complex, high-risk cases
\n
• Full-time hours available (up to 40 hours per week) for qualified candidates
\n
• Orientation held every other Thursday with start dates scheduled accordingly
\n

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Current West Virginia or Compact State RN License (pending licenses accepted for submission)
\n
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association required
\n
• Cerner charting experience required
\n
• Fetal heart monitoring and IV start skills required; triage and scrub skills preferred
\n
• Circulating experience in the OR setting strongly preferred
\n
• Minimum of 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
\n
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption provided
\n
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility; exceptions may be considered for 75-99 miles on a case-by-case basis
\n
• Respiratory fit test completion required prior to start date
\n
