Job Description
Opportunity:
Physician - Hematology Oncology
Job Details:
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with potential for 3-6 night call shifts per month (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- 100% adult patient population
- 95% outpatient clinic and 5% inpatient hospital coverage
- 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology case mix
- EPIC EMR system utilized
- Outpatient support staff includes a Medical Assistant assigned to the provider; Midlevels available to assist with follow-up and new Hematology patients only (not available for new Oncology patients)
- Average patient census of 22 patients per day with 2-3 new consults
- New patient appointments are 30 minutes; follow-up appointments are 15 minutes
- Board Certification in Hematology or Medical Oncology required
- Hematology/Oncology Fellowship required
- KY State License or IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand at time of submission) highly preferred
- Outpatient and inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience required
- Intrathecal Chemotherapy experience required
- Intracavitary Chemotherapy experience highly preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (must be pulled within 30 days)
