Teacher Aide - Part-time

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER AIDE, Hoopa After School Program, Temp. On-call, P/T. Salary: $15.00/hr., Must be a responsible, self -motivated, and a dependable employee. Will work with co-workers in a team setting and individually to create and implement projects and activities based on the program goals. Will work collaboratively with other programs and entities within the Hoopa Tribe as well as outside of the Tribe and foster and maintain positive and healthy relationships with children, co-workers, families and community.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 units in Early Childhood Education desirable but not necessary.  
• At least one (1) year experience working in a childcare program is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Native American culture, preferably Hoopa and surrounding tribes.
• Good English, Reading, Basic Math, and Algebra skills at a 5th/6th grade level.
• Self- Starter, and Team player.
• CPR and First Aid Training, and Mandated Reporter training desirable.
• Able to run, walk, lift and participate in all children’s activities.
• Title 30A background check and character reference check required.
