Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Technologist I specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL TECH) is based in Brick, New Jersey. This role involves assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures, including Cardiac Catheterizations, Angioplasty, Atherectomy, and other advanced cardiovascular interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day Shift 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 3 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital; familiarity with computers, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile operative techniques; permanent pacemaker placement experience and usage of Impella and balloon pumps preferred; 6-12 months during a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory; EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree is preferred.
- Additional Information: On-call is required, with a minimum of 7 shifts and a maximum of 10 shifts; weekend and holiday shifts are required as needed; no float rotation required; holiday coverage needed in summer and winter.
