Job Details- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1920 - $2060 (competitive travel PT pay)
- Location: Springfield, VT 05156 — Vermont PT job in a scenic New England community with easy access to hiking, biking, and local arts
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Setting: Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic (outpatient PT / outpatient rehab)
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, variable between 7am–6pm (40 hours/week)
- Patient Volume: ~8 patients/day (Mon–Thu), ~6 patients/day (Fri)
- Holiday Coverage: Clinic closed for major holidays; limited coverage may be required
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program (required)
- Active Vermont Physical Therapy license or PT compact license (required)
- American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of current outpatient physical therapy experience (required)
- Previous outpatient rehab and orthopedic experience (required)
- Previous travel therapy experience (strongly preferred)
- CPSI EMR experience (highly preferred) — experience with outpatient documentation and billing workflows is a plus
- Experience supervising and collaborating with PTAs (preferred)
- Ability and flexibility to assist with inpatient PT when needed
- Own vehicle required (limited public transportation available)
- Skills checklist and signed supervisory reference from the past 2 years required
- Updated CAQH and NPI must be provided after start
- Travel assignment eligibility: must reside more than 50 miles from facility
- Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of diagnoses including post-operative care, joint replacement, back and neck pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, balance disorders, and vertigo
- Provide evidence-based manual therapy, therapeutic exercise programs, and functional training tailored to each patient
- Treat orthopedic and sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, neurological conditions (stroke, Parkinson’s), pelvic floor dysfunction, hand injuries, workplace injuries, and pulmonary rehabilitation needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans, establish measurable goals, and track outcomes to support patient progress
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including PTAs, physicians, and other rehab professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using CPSI EMR and adhere to clinic policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in patient education, fall prevention programs, and community outreach as appropriate
- Flexibility to provide inpatient PT coverage when needed and support non-traditional treatment methods
