Job Title: Clinical Lab Technologist - Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor

Type: Full Time/Permanent - Direct Hire

Salary Range: $140,689 Annually plus benefits

Shift: Monday-Friday (35 hours/week)

Note:

• Chemistry Lab Supervisory Experience is required
• • Licensed/qualified CLT
• • + 4 years of relevant lab experience
• • Bachelor’s in biology, chemistry, medical technology, pr physical sciences or at least 5 years’ experience in similar laboratory including supervisory experience.
• • 3 years supervisory/ or management experience preferred
• • 2 years’ experience overseeing lab operations etc
• $140,689
• Monday-Friday (35 hours/week) In-person interview

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Pathology and the Administrator of Laboratory Services, provides on-site operational oversight of any of the areas of the laboratory. Exercises oversight of the operations and technical testing responsibility across laboratory services ensuring the delivery of patient-centered, cost-effective quality care and a culture of safety across the continuum of care.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

CERTIFICATION(S)/LICENSE(S):

Must have a NYSED license as a clinical laboratory technologist.

Candidates must also meet one of the qualifications requirements of a laboratory supervisor, as outlined in Title 10, Section 58-1.4 of the New York Public Health Law

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology from a program registered by the NYS Department of Education or

Bachelor’s degree in the major of biology, chemistry, medical technology or physical sciences from an accredited college or university or at least five years of experience in a similar laboratory including previous supervisory experience.

KNOWLEDGEABLE IN:

• Working knowledge of ISO standards, and GLP
• 5 years laboratory experience required
• 3 years of supervisory and/or management experience preferred

· Two (2) years of experience overseeing laboratory operations, creating and establishing laboratory programs and reviewing and interpreting safety data, in a hospital or health care setting; and
