Job Opportunity Position: Ultrasound Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team in a fast-paced medical setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in general ultrasound techniques, particularly within the OB/GYN specialty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to:
• Abdominal Aorta, Appendix, Breast, Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Pediatric Abdomen/Pelvis, and Spleen
• OB/GYN scans: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Trimester, Amniotic Fluid Index, Fetal Anatomical Survey, and Placenta Previa
• Neonatal evaluations: Bone lengths, Cerebellum, Ventricles, Head, and Heart
• Renal/Pelvis assessments: Bladder, Hernia, Ovaries, Prostate, Renal/Bladder, Uterus, and Vaginal scans
• Small part imaging: Breast Cyst Aspiration, Superficial Masses, Testicles/Scrotum, and Thyroid
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Adapt to varied work settings, including high-risk OB environments.
• Float to different units as required, providing support where needed.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with ultrasound technologies and practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required.
• Additional certifications preferred: ARDMS OB/GYN, BLS, and Nuchal Translucency (NT).

Work Schedule:

The position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with specific hours from Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 45-minute meal break. No on-call or weekend shifts are required.

Patient Population:

The technician will engage with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, focusing on outpatient services.

Location:

This position is located in a dynamic medical facility in [City, State].

Additional Information:

Contract staff may be required to participate in a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and could be called upon to work during catastrophic events and disasters. Please note that scrubs are not provided, and any color is acceptable.
