Class I Custodian at Scenic Heights for second shift 2:30-11:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 12 months per year

Assignment:

• 8 hours per day, 12 months per year
• Second shift: 2:30-11:00 pm.
• Base Pay $21.34
  • 2nd Shift (45 cents/hour) differential available
• Benefit eligible position.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs routine and project cleaning of assigned classrooms, offices and corridors, including emptying waste receptacles, vacuuming and/or sweeping floors, cleaning sinks and fountains, straightening and cleaning furniture, refinishing hard surface floors, extracting carpet, and cleaning boards.
2. Performs routine and project cleaning of assigned lavatories and locker rooms, including cleaning and disinfecting, keeping paper and soap dispensers filled and functioning, emptying waste receptacles and ensuring odor control.
3. Performs minor maintenance duties including but not limited to: , changing filters, changing light bulbs, adjusting equipment and furniture, small painting projects.
4. Secures the facility including closing and locking windows, locking doors, ensuring security lights are operating, and activating the security alarm.
5. Performs exterior maintenance including lawn mowing, trimming, cleaning exterior windows and walls, and ensuring all sidewalks and stairs are free of ice and snow.
6. Reports all building needs to the building head custodian.
7. Maintains a positive working relationship with all building occupants including staff, students, parents, visiting teams and the public in the use of the facility.
8. With the direction of the Head Custodian, coordinate, schedule and give work direction to the custodial staff for the completion of project cleaning and building use.
9. Performs other duties of a similar nature or skill.

Job Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to organize and maintain records.
3. Demonstrated accurate mathematical skills
4. Customer service oriented with positive inter-personal skills
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively successfully complete a pre-placement physical capabilities examination at Concentra at the District's expense.
