About the Role
We are seeking a warm, experienced, and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role is responsible for creating a safe, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants during their earliest stages of growth.
The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and passionate about infant development and responsive caregiving while providing strong classroom leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning and sensory activities for infants.
- Create a safe, calm, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support infants with feeding, diapering, soothing, and sleep routines.
- Observe and document developmental milestones and daily progress.
- Respond to infants’ individual needs, cues, and emotional development.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding infant care and development.
- Lead and support assistant teachers and classroom staff.
- Maintain compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (Early Childhood Education coursework or degree preferred).
- Experience working with infants in a childcare or early education setting required.
- Previous experience in a lead teacher or infant classroom leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing infant learning and sensory-based activities.
- Ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and nurturing environment.
- Strong classroom management and team leadership skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
