About the Role:
Join Paramount Facilities & Solutions as a Floor Tech, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining clean and safe environments for our clients. We are looking for dedicated individuals who take pride in their work and are eager to contribute to our team's success.
Responsibilities:
- Strip old wax/finish from hard floors using appropriate chemicals and equipment
- Thoroughly clean and neutralize floors to prepare for refinishing
- Apply floor finish (wax) evenly in multiple coats to achieve a high-quality shine
- Buff and burnish floors to maintain appearance and extend floor life
- Operate and maintain equipment such as floor machines, buffers, burnishers, and wet vacuums
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment
- Ensure floors are properly dried and safe for foot traffic after service
- Perform routine floor care including sweeping, dust mopping, and spot cleaning
- Identify floor issues (damage, buildup, wear) and report them as needed
- Maintain cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is in good working condition
- Work efficiently to complete projects within scheduled timeframes (often evenings or weekends)
- Assist with general cleaning duties or other projects as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in floor maintenance or cleaning services is a required.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
