Varsity Assistant Swim Coach at Millard South High School

Position Overview:
Millard South High School is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and team-oriented Varsity Assistant Swim Coach to support the continued success and growth of our swimming and diving program. This individual will work closely with the Head Coach to develop student-athletes both in and out of the water, fostering a culture of accountability, sportsmanship, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and conducting daily swim practices

• Provide technical instruction and stroke development for swimmers of varying skill levels

• Support strength, conditioning, and dryland training sessions

• Help organize and supervise swim meets (home and away)

• Promote a positive team culture and strong work ethic

• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and coaching staff

• Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times

Qualifications:

• Prior competitive swimming and/or coaching experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of swim techniques, training methods, and meet procedures

• Ability to motivate and connect with high school student-athletes

• Current LG/CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Availability for early morning and after-school practices and meets
