Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our early childhood learning center. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment while leading classroom activities and supporting children’s growth.

The ideal candidate is a strong classroom leader, passionate about early childhood education, and committed to fostering a positive and nurturing learning experience for children.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily learning activities
  •  Create and maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
  •  Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  •  Manage daily classroom routines effectively. 
  •  Observe and document children’s progress and developmental milestones
  •  Communicate with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
  •  Supervise, mentor, and support assistant teachers and classroom staff
  •  Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health and safety standards
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred). 
  •  Experience working in a childcare, preschool, or early education setting required
  •  Previous experience in a lead teacher or classroom leadership role preferred
  •  Strong knowledge of child development and early learning practices
  •  Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Skills

  •  Experience with curriculum planning and classroom management
  •  Ability to lead and support a team of educators
  •  Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  •  Passion for creating a positive and engaging learning environment
  •  CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
