Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm or 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Starting Rate: $17.00/hour

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor lake activity to ensure compliance with boating and water safety regulations.
- Assist with 2026 Lake Springfield Watercraft Registration Applications.
- Provide public education on boating safety and lake rules. • Assist with Lake Maintenance and Boating Sergeant duties.
- Document incidents and complete routine patrol reports.
- Inspect watercraft for required safety equipment (life jackets, lights, registration).
Required Qualifications:
The ideal internal candidate will possess Position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years high school, a valid class D driver's license ability to complete Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Pre-employment background and drug screen are required. Previous related experience preferred; must successfully pass Boating Safety Class. Shifts will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.
To be eligible to apply, current City employees must have completed their probationary period and attained certified status in their current position.
