Position Overview
The Coach leads and manages the athletic program for the assigned sport by designing and implementing team activities, instructing athletes in sport fundamentals, supervising participants during practices and competitions, and ensuring compliance with district and athletic association rules and regulations.
Coach
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement practice plans and competition strategies to prepare student athletes for athletic events.
- Analyze opposing teams’ strategies and performance to develop game plans and competitive approaches.
- Evaluate student athletes’ performance to determine team placement and provide feedback for improvement.
- Instruct athletes in the fundamentals of sport, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Supervise student athletes and assistant coaches during practices, competitions, travel, and team meetings.
- Monitor student-athletes’ academic eligibility and provide support or referrals as needed.
- Maintain records including athlete participation, statistics, schedules, equipment inventories, and required documentation.
- Inspect athletic facilities and equipment for safety hazards and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Promote the athletic program through community engagement, camps, and recruitment activities.
- Respond to inquiries from students, parents, school personnel, media representatives, and community members.
- Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences related to athletic program responsibilities.
- Coordinate with athletic department staff to ensure compliance with district policies and athletic regulations.
- Support and supervise assistant coaches and volunteers within the program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience
Job-related experience is required.
Education
High school diploma plus job-related coursework.

Continuing Education / Training
Maintain required certifications and participate in sport-related professional associations.
