Job Title: CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant
Unit: Joint and Spine
Employment Type: Full time / 36 hours weekly
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Position Purpose:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on our 14-bed Joint and Spine Unit, you’ll assist patients with daily living activities and post-operative recovery. You’ll work closely with RNs and physical therapists to support patient mobility, comfort, and independence—playing a vital part in improving outcomes and patient satisfaction.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will:
As delegated by a licensed nurse, performs essential duties appropriate to role while assisting with basic to complex patient care needs.
Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
Assists delegated care team in keeping detailed records, clear communication and working with patients and families.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may be assigned to function in either the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) or Nursing Assistant role.
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
Current licensure by the Maryland State Board for Certified Nursing Assistant
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
Preferred:
At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care setting.

Referral Rewards Program
Pay Range: $18.11 – $25.35/hour
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
